NIHR organised a Seminar on Human Rights in Police Work

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organised a seminar on human rights in police work. More than 300 people, from different departments of the Interior Ministry, took part in the event, organised by the Royal Academy of Police, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of grievances.

Director of training management and education for international human rights standards in police work Jassim Ali Al Bahar spoke about promoting and dissemination of these standards in police work, particularly among those in the police who are in charge of law enforcement.

The seminar also looked at the legal basis for the use of military force and controls to upgrade work policeman, along with upholding human rights.

The seminar included the ability of the police to carry out their responsibility, keeping in view human rights issues, even in exceptional and difficult circumstances that require special skills in self-control.
