National human rights institution organizes introductory lecture for the students of Legal Clinic for Human Rights at the University of Bahrain
National Institution for Human Rights held an introductory lecture about (the role of the national institution in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain) for students of legal clinic for Human Rights at the University of Bahrain, in the training center at the headquarters of the National Institution in Alseef district.
The event was opened by the Vice Secretary-General Mr. Yasser Saqer Al Shirawi who welcomed the participants and affirmed the importance of the role played by the National Institution in spreading the culture of human rights through universities and academic institutes, and wished the participants success
Two lectures were conducted during the event, the first was given by the acting head of the national legislation in the institution Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Najjar where he focused on the (national human rights institutions and their role in the promotion and protection of human rights) with a review of the provisions of Law No. (26) of the 2014 on the establishment of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain.
The second lecture, presented by the head of the treaty bodies in the institution Ms. Latifa Rashid Al- Jalahma, was about (search in electronic references and sources related to human rights).
It should be noted that this event is part of the National Human Rights institution competence in the field of promotion and dissemination of human rights through holding lectures, training and education courses for all segments of society, especially university students in topics related to human rights.
The event was attended Dr. Aseel Zomo legal expert from the Legal Clinic, and by Mr. Yasser Ghanem Shaheen, Director of Legal Affairs of the National Institution, and Mr. Yaqoub Yousef Al-Hamad director of financial and human resources management.
