06 Aug 2024

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) took part in the Youth City 2030 Theater events, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the Labor Fund (Tamkeen) at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center in Zallaq. The event was well-received by attendees, and representatives of NIHR provided a brief overview of the institution's role and its initiatives in the field of children's rights, specifically targeting children aged 9 to 14 years. Additionally, the event featured an interactive quiz that covered the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, to educate participants about the institution's commitment to promoting and safeguarding human rights.

This participation is part of NIHR’s ongoing efforts to enhance awareness of the importance of human rights and to emphasize the core principles of children's rights, as well as to underscore the crucial role the institution plays in the community.

It is also noteworthy that Youth City 2030 is one of the key initiatives launched annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, aimed at training Bahraini youth and preparing them for the job market by equipping them with various skills and capabilities that improve their employment prospects, as well as discovering and developing talents in various fields.
