NIHR Welcomes the Australian Ambassador
Dr. Fawzia Saeed Al Saleh, a Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), receives His Excellency Mr. Mark Lawrence Donovan, the Australian Ambassador accredited to the Kingdom and residing in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by Dr. Malallah Al-Hammadi, the head of the Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee, and Dr. Hooria Aldairi, Child Rights Commissioner.
During the meeting, a brief presentation was given about NIHR and its working mechanism in the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with an overview of the committees' activities in cooperation with civil society institutions and relevant governmental entities, as well as the Institution’s efforts in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to activate the alternative sanctions program.
