These achievements were the result of continuous work and dedicated effort to enhance human rights standards in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to improve legislative frameworks to align with international standards.
He added, "The establishment of NIHR on November 10, 2009, initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, marked the first step on a long path through which we aim to enhance and spread the culture of human rights in society—a responsibility we take very seriously." He praised the ongoing support His Majesty provides to the institution, which enables it to elevate the level of independent human rights work and to enhance pathways of progress and development in the field of human rights.
