NIHR participates in the Annual Meeting of GANHRI in Geneva.

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by its Chairperson, Eng. Ali Ahmad Alderazi, participated in the annual meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), held at the Palace of Nations in Geneva.

During the meeting, resolutions for the year 2024 were adopted by the General Assembly, and new memberships for national institutions in the alliance's office were approved. A summary of the alliance's achievements over the past year and the activities of the four regional networks were presented. Additionally, the financial report was adopted, the final accounts were audited, the proposed budget for 2025 was presented, and the action plan for the same year was approved.

The meeting, which coincided with a session of the UN Human Rights Council and was conducted in partnership with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, also included the alliance office meeting, the General Assembly, experience-sharing sessions, and the annual conference. Over 250 representatives from national human rights institutions, UN agencies, and civil society participated.
