Strengthening Cooperation between the “NIHR” and the “UNDP”

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Mr. Firas Gharaibeh, Acting Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides in areas related to human rights and sustainable development programmes.

During the meeting, Al-Derazi pointed out the efforts of the UNDP to support the goals and efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in sustainable development, stating NIHR’s keenness to consolidate areas of cooperation with the UNDP and take advantage of its distinguished expertise and initiatives launched by it in related fields.

For his part, Mr. Gharaibeh expressed his respect for the remarkable progress of the work of the NIHR, and its efforts and activities to contribute to the advancement of sustainable development through human rights, in a way that serves the work of the human rights system of the Kingdom of Bahrain, looking forward to more cooperation to achieve common goals.
