NIHR participates in the meetings of the (APF) and the Executive Committee of the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions in Geneva
Concurrently with his participation in the meetings of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) in Geneva, Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, the Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), also attended the annual general meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF).
During this meeting, the performance report of the forum for the year 2024, as well as the report on gender objectives in national institutions, were reviewed, and the financial report was adopted. Additionally, the accreditation classification for the forum members for this year was approved.
In a related context, Alderazi participated in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions, which discussed the key issues related to enhancing and protecting human rights in the Arab region, reviewed the activities of the network, and assessed the progress in implementing its strategic plans.
The participation of NIHR in these meetings reflects its commitment to enhancing regional and international cooperation, which effectively contributes to exchanging expertise and best practices in the field of human rights. This involvement aids in improving the policies and procedures adopted by the participating institutions in the forum and enhances their quality.
