NIHR Secretariat-General Holds an Event on the Occasion of World Breast Cancer Day

On the occasion of the International Breast Cancer Day, the NIHR’s Secretariat-General’s Committee on Social Cohesion held an awareness lecture for female employees in cooperation with the Bahrain Cancer Society, where Dr. Hanin Al-Bosta gave a lecture in which she discussed the importance of spreading health awareness, especially with regard to ways to prevent cancer, including its causes and symptoms, and means of its prevention, elimination and early intervention.

She emphasized the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles, including healthy nutrition and physical activity, and encouraged the importance of early detection, which improves chances of recovery, as well as the importance of adhering to periodic examinations to detect cancer in the early stages for treatment and recovery.
