NIHR Chairperson Receives Representatives Council Mp. Munir Suroor.
Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), welcomed Representatives Council Mp. Munir Suroor, a member of the Parliament, at the institution's headquarters. He highlighted the parliament members' attention to human rights issues through enhancing the relevant legislation and laws to ensure the best practices in the human rights field.
During the meeting, Alderazi reviewed the institution's working mechanism and its efforts to spread awareness of human rights culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The two discussed several issues of mutual interest and various topics related to the latest developments in the kingdom’s human rights file, as well as the role of the national institution in addressing these issues.
Mp. Suroor expressed his appreciation for the institution’s effective role in protecting and promoting human rights, affirming the parliamentary council’s support for its professional work, and commending the efforts of the president and the members of the commissioners' council.
