NIHR Receives US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has received Mr. Stephen Bundy, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the NIHR’s Headquarters in the Seef District.
During the meeting, Al-Derazi welcomed the American ambassador on the occasion of his appointment as the new Ambassador of his country to the Kingdom, and discussed with him a number of issues of common interest, and the role played by the NIHR in dealing with the human rights situation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in cooperation with all concerned authorities, whether official or civil society organizations, which represent an essential partner and tributary to strengthening State institutions.
For his part, Mr. Bundy stated the importance of the role played by national human rights institutions in promoting, protecting and spreading a culture of human rights, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the NIHR for the kind reception, cooperation and constant interest in discussing issues related to human rights.
