NIHR and College of Law at the Royal University for Women sign a Memorandum of Understanding

In order to develop the educational level of law students, males and females, through training programs, and provide them with the legal and human rights skills necessary to prepare them to join the labor market and respond to its requirements in order to achieve the purpose of contributing to the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) signed a memorandum of understanding with the College of Law at the Royal University for Women. The MoU, signed at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District, was signed by Counselor-at-Law Yasser Ghanem Shaheen, Deputy Secretary-General, on behalf of Dr. Khalifa bin Ali al-Fadel, Secretary-General of the NIHR, Dr. Pasquale Borea, Dean of the College of Law at the University.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding is based on the joint desire of the two parties to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between them in the common areas and to develop effective mechanisms to train the students of the college theoretically and in-practice through giving lectures and workshops to provide the trainees with legal and human rights skills.

The memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides included supporting the aspects of common interest and holding training courses in the legal and human rights area in line with the programs and projects of the National Plan to consolidate and spread the culture of human rights to serve the supreme national interest of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
