NIHR Chairman Visits Nasser Vocational Training Centre

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairperson of the National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has visited Nasser Vocational Training Centre (NVTC), where he met with Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al-Nuaimi, NVTC CEO, in the presence of Mr. Nabih Aziz, NVTC Academic Manager and Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Nuaimi, NVTC Legal Advisor.

During the meeting, Al-Derazi reviewed the services provided by the NVTC, including educational, training and professional programmes, and made an exploration tour over NVTC facilities accompanied by the CEO and a number of officials of the NVTC.

The two sides also discussed the NVTC’s role and effective contribution in the rehabilitation of convicts, who are subjected to the alternative sanctions and measures system, in order to integrate them positively to enhance stability of the society.

At the sidelines of the visit, Al-Derazi explained that this visit is based upon social responsibility and partnership, and is aimed to enhance cooperation between the NIHR and NVTC, stating the importance of the NVTC’s role in the rehabilitation and training of convicts in the correctional centres and in assisting them in their educational and professional achievement during their stay at such centres.
