HH Deputy Prime Minister Receives NIHR’s Annual Report
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, received Chairperson of NIHR Council of Commissioners Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abdul and a number of NIHR Council of Commissioners today in his office at Al-Gudaibiya Palace, where they presented to His Highness the NIHR’s two annual reports for 2015 and 2016.
During the meeting, HH commended NIHR’s efforts in making reports based upon the best international expertise and standards as well as the Universal Principles of Human Rights, referring to the human rights achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the human rights record, which have been established through His Majesty the King’s reform project.
HH indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to enhance and foster human rights in its comprehensive sense and emphasized that security and stability are the foundations of achievement of the human rights principles in any society and that human rights are guaranteed and respected by the rule of law. He further indicated that the Bahraini community has the noble qualities of tolerance, respect for others and pluralism, which are the sources of its strength and cohesion.
HH further stressed that the government supports all NIHR’s efforts in order to enable it to continue its national role for which it has been established.
On his side, Head of NIHR Council of Commissioners Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul presented to HH the most important works and achievements of the made by the NIHR as well as the content of NIHR’s reports for 2015 and 2016. He thanked HH for receiving him and his colleague members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners and for his support which effectively contributed to the development and enhancement of the NIHR’s efforts and work.
