NIHR and Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Society Organize the 1st National Conference on Human Rights in Entrepreneurship
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in cooperation with the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Society, will organize the 1st national conference on human rights in entrepreneurship entitled: "Entrepreneurship as a Human Rights Based Approach: A Theoretical Analysis of Sustainability and Development".
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the NIHR, explained that the organization of this conference, which will be held on March 21 and 22, will be in implementation of the first goal of the NIHR Strategic Objectives and Action Plan for the years 2022-2025, namely: "The Impact of the Covid-19 on Economy and Entrepreneurship". The NIHR aims at promoting entrepreneurship sector’s awareness of the principles of human rights. He emphasized that the outcomes of this conference will be circulated to all relevant authorities and will also be followed-up on effectively.
For his part, MP Mr. Ahmed Subah Al-Saloom, Chairman of the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Society, Member of the NIHR Council of Commissioners, pointed out that that the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches great importance to the human rights file, which includes the economic and entrepreneurship file, stating that the National Action Charter has guaranteed personal freedoms, equality and the right to work. He added that the conference aims to shed light on the right of entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises to innovate, create and set-up projects, by focusing on Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and its impact on entrepreneurship and human rights.
