National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Participates in Observation of Parliamentary Elections in Jordan

A delegation representing the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), comprising Member of the Council of Commissioners and Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Member Dr. Mona Hijras participated in observation of the legislative elections (Parliamentary Elections) in Jordan on Tuesday 20 September 2016 upon an official invitation to the NIHR by the National Center for Human Rights (NCHR) in Jordan.
The NIHR’s participation in observation of Jordan’s parliamentary elections is part of the participation of around 5000 male and female international observers including 140 international ones, as national institutions competent and known for their serious work on human rights are invited for such missions for observation of parliamentary elections and preparation of necessary reports thereof to be referred to competent bodies.
