NIHR organizes a meeting with the Child Rights Commissioner’s Friends coinciding with Gulf Child Day
Coinciding with Gulf Child Day, which falls on January 15th each year and has been designated by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council as a special day to celebrate Gulf children, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized the first meeting with the team of the Child Rights Commissioner’s Friends at the NIHR’s headquarters.
Coinciding with Gulf Child Day, which falls on January 15th each year and has been designated by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council as a special day to celebrate Gulf children, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized the first meeting with the team of the Child Rights Commissioner’s Friends at the NIHR’s headquarters.
In a statement on the sidelines of the event, Dr. Al Dairi said, "Celebrating this day represents an opportunity to emphasize the importance of enhancing and protecting the rights of this vital segment of society. Various programs and educational campaigns are organized to spread awareness about the importance of child care and the roles performed by all state apparatus and societal sectors in providing the best possible frameworks for achieving growth and prosperity of childhood in the council countries."
