HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the 10th annual report of the NIHR
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness received the 10th annual report of the NIHR.
His Royal Highness highlighted that safeguarding and protecting human rights is a core pillar of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the adoption of human rights initiatives in the Kingdom, adding that Human Rights are enshrined in the Constitution, the National Action Charter, and the Kingdom's laws and legislations.
His Royal Highness commended the role played by the NIHR in bolstering and safeguarding human rights in the Kingdom as stated in the report, and wished the Chairman and members of the institution continued success in their endeavours.
For his part, Eng. Alderazi expressed his gratitude for meeting with His Royal Highness and for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's commitment to promoting human rights in line with the Kingdom's development, led by His Majesty the King.
