His Excellency Chairman of the Council of Representatives Receives NIHR’s Annual Report

His Excellency Chairman of the Council of Representatives Mr. Ahmed Bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla received members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners headed by Charirperson Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul, who presented to His Excellency the NIHR’s two annual reports for 2015 and 2016.

His Excellency the Chairman of the Council of Representatives commended the NIHR for its achievements and efforts and for its integrity and impartiality in performing its work in the area of human rights development, protection and preservation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out the steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting and highlighting the human rights area and protection as well as its achievements to support and enhance democracy, human rights and development in all areas, which meets the supreme interest of the homeland and the citizen.

His Excellency further stressed the fundamental role adopted by the NIHR in the enhancement and development of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and coordination of joint efforts with various governmental institutions and bodies in Bahrain in order to meet the desired aims during the reform era of his Majesty the King of Bahrain, may God protect him.

For his part, Head of NIHR Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to Their Excellency Chairman and members of the Council of Representatives and to the great support and cooperation of the Parliament, as well as to the significant role adopted by the Council of Representatives on legislative and supervisory aspects and its active participation in international human rights forums, welcoming the continuous cooperation with the Council for the good and interest of our dear country.
