NIHR's Vice Chairperson receives Journalist Maryam al-Sherooqi

His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Al Derazi, Vice Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received at the NIHR's headquarters the Journalist Maryam al-Sherooqi, who presented him with a copy of her Master's dissertation awarded by Ahlia University in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the title "Employment of audio clips in news bulletins: Comparison in Media Agenda of Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya Channels in Tunisia 2011 events". The dissertation tackled the importance and objectives of audio clips and their impact on the audience and public opinion, and how they were used in Tunisia 2011 events. It is worth mentioning that this study is the first of its kind in the Arab World.


The NIHR Vice chaiperson highly lauded the praiseworthy efforts exerted by the Journalist Al-Sherooqi in preparing this dissertation and its invaluable theme and study, wishing her continuous success in both her academic life and career, affirming that the NIHR is supporting and encouraging academic and educational for the benefit to our beloved country.

For her part, Journalist Al-Sherooqi extended her sincerest thanks and appreciation to Mr. Al Derazi The NIHR Vice chairperson for the warm hospitality. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Ms. Maria Khouri, and Chairperson of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee, and Mr. Fahad Al-Mualla Director of Information and Communications Technology Department at the NIHR's Secretariat- General.
