NIHR Participates in the 5th Edition of “Al-Basta Market” Events
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in the presence of NIHR Vice-Chairperson Mr. Abdullah Al-Derazi and member of NIHR Council of Commissioners Dr. Hameed Hussein, participated in the 5th edition of “Al-Basta Market” events on Friday and Saturday 27 – 28 January 2017 in Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), where a range of NIHR’s releases were distributed, along with a coloring book on child rights, educating children on their rights in simple language and beautiful drawings.
The NIHR’s stand witnessed great interaction by visitors including citizens and various expatriates in the Kingdom. The NIHR Vice chairperson expressed his contentment with such prominent existence of the NIHR’s pavilion. He said, “We are always pleased to participate in various national events to familiarize the honored attendees with NIHR’s missions to enhance and develop human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to work on establishing their values and disseminating awareness thereof”. He further expressed his thanks to all those who participated in the success of this event.
The NIHR’s participation in this event is part of its strategic plan that aims to enhance and develop the culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain for various official and national society groups. The event was further attended by NIHR Acting Secretary General and Director of Information Technology and Communication Mr. Fahad Al-Mualla as well as a number of NIHR General Secretary officials.
