The Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee Visits the Rehabilitation and Correction Center for Inmates in Jau Area
The National Institution for Human Rights' (NIHR) Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee conducted a field visit to the Rehabilitation and Correction Center for Inmates in the Jau area. The visit aimed to review the disciplinary sanctions applied and the mechanisms used for their implementation, based on the law of the Rehabilitation and Correction Institution and its executive regulations.
During the visit, the committee evaluated the guarantees provided to the inmates to ensure they align with relevant international standards. A detailed report on this evaluation will be prepared and submitted to the relevant authorities.
