NIHR receives the Director-General of the Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs of the GCC

Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, the Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), welcomed Mohammed bin Hassan Al Obaidli, the newly appointed Director-General of the Executive Office for the Council of Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs of the GCC.

Alderazi extended his congratulations to Mr. Al Obaidli, wishing him success in his new position and commending the Executive Office for its role in fostering Gulf cooperation through the creation and execution of sustainable institutional strategies.

In the meeting, Alderazi gave a summary of NIHR's operational mechanisms and its approach to human rights issues, discussing potential ways to strengthen collaboration between the two entities to support common development objectives that enhance the human rights framework in the Gulf region.

Mr. Mohammed Al Obaidli praised the human rights status in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the NIHR's contributions to advancing and safeguarding human rights. He stressed the need to continue developing joint Gulf cooperation initiatives aimed at enhancing social protection and care, aligning with the visions of GCC leaders and meeting the developmental aspirations of the citizens across the member states for a holistic developmental surge that benefits all.
