The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by lawyer Deena Abdulrahman Al-Ladhi Council of Commissioner, participated in the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions meeting and its 23rd General Assembly, and its annual conference in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The conference, themed "Reviewing and Unifying Regional and International Efforts to Support National Human Rights Institutions in the Arab World," featured the participation of 50 international and regional organizations, representatives of civil society institutions, and human rights experts and activists.

The conference included several sessions that focused on supporting ongoing efforts to confront the Israeli occupation and ensure it does not escape accountability, in addition to discussing the challenges and effectiveness of the international human rights system and ways to improve it. Speakers also emphasized the important role the international community plays in supporting national human rights institutions in Arab countries, referencing ongoing training programs and technical support.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions, founded in 2011, includes institutions from various Arab countries, including NIHR in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The network aims to enhance cooperation and coordination among these institutions to improve human rights in the region and provides a platform for exchanging expertise and enhancing the capacities of national institutions.
