Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), announced that coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, NIHR will organize the first annual meeting for the children of Bahrain in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Kingdom. The theme of the meeting is "You Have the Right... You Have a Voice."

He added, "The meeting will take place next Tuesday with the presence of various official bodies, specialized UN agencies, and a selection of officials and organizations involved in child-related issues," highlighting that the meeting will focus on the role and objectives of NIHR in promoting children's rights concepts by encouraging children's participation in dialogue, expressing opinions, and decision-making in relation to national policies and initiatives concerning children's rights in Bahrain.

He further explained that the meeting will feature several theatrical performances by children, centered around children's rights, in addition to introducing the Child Rights Commissioner's Friends team and the group of volunteer experts for the Friends of the Child. There will also be a panel discussion about the strategy of the Child Rights Commissioner, setting goals, priorities for action, and future aspirations, along with an intergenerational dialogue session focused on developing a unified vision for children's rights.
