His Excellency the chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights Receives Her Excellency Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium
HE Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights, received at the headquarters of the institution at the Seef district HE Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium,
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the NIHR's Chairperson welcomed the Ambassador wishing her every success in the support and development of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Belgium through her work. He also commended the efforts of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Kingdom of Belgium in projecting the real, honorable and civilized image of development in Bahrain.
His Excellency the NIHR's Chairperson reviewed the role the NIHR's plays in the Kingdom and the most important mechanisms in place to achieve its objectives in the protection of all rights.
For her part, HE Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi expressed her thanks to the NIHR's Chairperson and members of the NIHR for their efforts in promoting and protecting human rights, as well as raising awareness of their significance in the consolidation of these principles in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the two side discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of human rights and ways to promote and develop these aspects between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Kingdom of Belgium and the National Institution for Human Rights.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Ahmad Alderazi, NIHR's Vice Chairperson , HE Ms. Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the complaints, monitoring and follow-up committee and HE the Assistant Secretary-General Counselor-at-Law Yasser Ghanem Shaheen.
