NIHR receives Deputy Inspector-General at the Ministry of Interior
The Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Ms. Maria Khoury, received at the NIHR’s headquarters in Seef District HE Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Deputy Inspector-General at the Ministry of Interior. The meeting was attended by Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadhel, NIHR’s Secretary General.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common concern. Ms. Khoury further appreciated the constructive and continuous cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the NIHR, which aims to preserve human dignity and safeguard human rights, stressing the NIHR’s full support for all matters that are in the interest of the homeland and the citizen.
For his part, the Deputy Inspector-General expressed his deep appreciation for the hard work of the NIHR, noting the fundamental role played by it in dealing with issues related to human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between the two sides, which is fundamental in supporting efforts to achieve common objectives.
