NIHR conducted a Field Visit to the Rehabilitation Center in "Jau"
Led by Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, the Chairperson of National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), the delegation visited the inmate rehabilitation center in the "Jau" area to assess the health and living conditions of the inmates.
During the visit, the delegation met with inmate representatives in four different buildings, listened to their comments, and assessed their needs. The delegation toured the facilities and met several inmates, documenting all comments and requests for inclusion in a report to the relevant authorities.
At the end of the visit, Alderazi emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between the institution and the center’s administration to continue meeting inmate needs and achieving the required international standards of care.
