NIHR receives the Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, the Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), welcomed His Excellency Mr. Mazen Shaqoura, the Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In their discussion, Alderazi provided a summary of the institution's significant achievements, focusing on efforts to bolster human rights and strengthen oversight mechanisms. The meeting also covered several topics of shared interest.

Furthermore, both parties explored potential avenues for future collaboration between the National Institution and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, particularly in the area of training designed to build and enhance the human rights framework.
