NIHR participates in the annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF)

A delegation from the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) headed by Eng. Ali Ahmad Alderazi and including Mr. Ahmad Al-Saloum and Mrs. Rawdha Al-Aradi, participated in the annual Asia Pacific Forum (APF) meeting. This event was held alongside the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

At the meeting, 38 events conducted by the forum over the past year were reviewed, and both the financial report and the operational plan for 2024-2025 were approved.

Discussions at the meeting also covered a project on guidelines for the role of national human rights institutions in conflict scenarios, and a mechanism to support new national institutions in aligning with the Paris Principles. Moreover, members shared their experiences and best practices to bolster skills and regional cooperation.
