NIHR Receives the Projects Officer at the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion Department of the International Organisation for Migration
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has received Mrs. Nihal Akal, Projects Officer at the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion Department of the International Organisation for Migration, in the presence of Chancellor Yasser Ghanim Shahin, NIHR Secretary-General, where he reviewed the NIHR’s role in the human rights field, especially with regard to rights related to expatriate workers, pointing out the NIHR’s efforts to study and follow up the laws regulating domestic workers, to find out their rights and to inform all parties of the rights and duties towards the other party.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to unify efforts in areas related to employment and human rights.
