President of National Institution for Human Rights receives First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Representatives
His Excellency, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abel, President of the National Institution for Human Rights welcomed HE Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Aradi, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Representatives at the headquarters of the National Institution for Human Rights in the Seef District.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE NIHR President welcomed the visit of HE First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Representatives and commended the important role played by the Honorable Council of Representatives under Chairmanship of HE Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla as well as the efforts exerted by Council members to serve the Bahraini Society, stressing that the NIHR supports all issues that serve the interest of the citizens and the homeland, wishing Council members success and progress in their efforts made for the benefit of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
HE NIHR President asserted the necessity of intensifying cooperation between both sides, transferring experience and knowledge and working together on everything related to supporting and highlighting the bright and constructive points in the Bahraini human rights dossier all over the world.
On his part, HE First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Aradi, commended the national role and the human rights responsibility assumed by the NIHR at both national and international levels, stressing the complete support of the Council of Representatives for its professional work and its clear independence. In addition, he commended the prominent efforts exerted by the Chairperson and the Members of the Council of Commissioners as well as the distinguished work of the NIHR's Secretariat-General. His Excellency stated that NIHR assumes a great human rights responsibility and human rights work exceeding the traditional concept of the human right work. The NIHR plays a leading role in presenting the real image of the human right situation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in international forums. He wished the NIHR and all in charge of all success and progress for the interest of the society.
Mr. Abdullah Alderazi, Vice President of the NIHR, Mr. Acting Secretary General Counselor-at-Law Mr. Yasser Shaheen and Mr. Fahd Al Moala, Director of Information and Communication Technology Department attended the meeting.
